About Mark Stefanowicz
Mark Stefanowicz is a classically trained oil painter and award-winning art director whose career spans over 30 years across fine art, video games, and digital media. A native of Chelsea, Massachusetts, Mark began formal art training at the age of six under master painter Vincent Tringarli, studying Old Master techniques for over 17 years. This early foundation shaped his lifelong dedication to craftsmanship, storytelling, and visual narrative.
Mark’s career evolved through leadership roles in interactive entertainment, where he served as Art Director for major franchises at Vivendi, Electronic Arts, and Disney. His work on Epic Mickey earned him multiple awards for art direction, recognized for its bold, painterly style and emotional depth. He later brought that same storytelling sensibility to digital media, receiving multiple web design awards for the immersive fantasy world of Utherworlds.
In 2016, Mark co-founded Lost Boys Interactive, growing it from a small startup into a premier co-development studio with hundreds of employees and high-profile projects, including Call of Duty, Diablo, WWE, and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
Now stepping fully into fine art, Mark is focused on Western oil painting, blending classical technique with narrative grit. His work reflects the heart of the American West through atmosphere, mood, and timeless storytelling.
Based in Austin, Texas, Mark is committed to creating a new body of work that speaks to legacy, place, and the emotional power of the painted image.
